Posted on by admin

TRI-CITIES, Wash.-The Boys and Girls Clubs of Benton and Franklin Counties are celebrating Hispanic Heritage Month with their second annual art contest.

Club members created original pieces of artwork representing influential Hispanic STEM icons, including historical figures, leaders, scientists and educators who made vital contributions to the world of science, technology, engineering and math, according to a UScellular press release.

Boys and Girls Clubs representatives and UScellular leaders will choose up to 10 finalists from each of the six clubs in Benton and Franklin Counties and the finalists’ artwork will be digitally displayed in select stores during voting.

Voting for the top artwork is open online to anyone over 18 from Sept. 15 through Sept. 22.

For 2024 the top three first-place finalists with the most votes will be named National Winners and will receive an additional $250 for total winnings of $500 in addition to their home club receiving $1,000.
