Court Sets New November Trial Date for WSP Trooper Sarah Clasen
Court records show that her trial date has been moved again to November 11th, 2026.
This will be the fourth time the trial date has been moved for the former Washington State trooper, Sarah Clasen, who is accused of killing 20-year-old Jhoser Vega Sanchez in a suspected DUI crash in March 2025.
The repeated rescheduling has prolonged the legal proceedings for the victim’s family and the community, as the court continues to push back the date for a case that has drawn significant regional attention.
November Trial Set in Vehicular Homicide Case Against WSP Trooper
Attorneys have cited the complexity of the case for the delays, but the frustration from the public over the delayed trial is seen in social media comments time and time again.

Clasen spent months on paid administrative leave before finally resigning from her position on April 1, 2026.
A pre-trial conference is set for October 21st. So far, this incident has been ongoing for 18 months, but hopefully, there will be a resolution this fall.
