With the Locust Grove Fire up on Olympia in Kennewick, keeping first responders busy, crime doesn’t stop, and the Kennewick Police responded to an incident that involved gunfire in the area of W 4th Ave and S Vancouver St.
Two Vehicles, Dozens of Gunshots, No Victims: Kennewick Police Investigating
The complaint came in about 11:25 PM as gunfire was exchanged between two vehicles.

Witnesses Report Rapid Gunfire as Vehicles Chase Each Other Through Kennewick
Both cars had fled the scene by the time Kennewick Police arrived to investigate.
According to the filed police report, witnesses reported 20-25 gunshots, and the vehicles were seen chasing each other in the general area of 4th and Vancouver Street.

The roadway of S Vancouver St was shut down between W 4th Ave and W 7th Ave to complete the investigation.
No injuries were reported during the incident, but Kennewick Police did find a ton of shell casings on the roadways.
Even with the Locust Grove fire blazing, the Kennewick Police responded quickly to the call and are still investigating the situation.
In a note from the Kennewick Police Department:
If you have any video from a residence or information referencing the incident please contact the non emergency number of 509-628-0333. We believe surveillance cameras from residences in the area could’ve caught the two suspect vehicles at the time of the incident.
