Moses Lake Police Catch 2nd Story Criminal Leaper

  A Weekend Moses Lake Domestic Violence Calls Ends up Completely Different

Late Saturday night, Moses Lake Police responded to a residence on Monroe Street about an alleged Domestic Violence stabbing.

Tuesday, MLPD released information about the call, when Officers arrived they learned no such altercation had taken place, no stabbing, no crime, apparently no fighting. But as they were assessing the situation and talking to the people there, a man came flying out of a second story window.

   The Jumper Was Trying to Elude, He Had Outstanding Warrants

26-year-old Juan Baeza Escobedo of Moses Lake was apparently wanted on multiple Department of Correction Warrants, Officers said he was heavily intoxicated—which probably led to his decision to take the big leap.

After a short sprint he was overtaken by Officers and arrested, and returned to DOC custody. No injuries were reported from the incident.
