The Kitsap County Sheriff’s Office arrested a man who works for the South Kitsap School District’s childcare program, following a search warrant served the day before.
A Search Warrant Was Served on Wednesday in the Port Orchard Area
Kitsap County Sheriff’s Deputies served the warrant on Wednesday, which is related to the possession of depictions of minors engaged in sexually explicit conduct. According to the Kitsap County Sheriff’s Office:
Detectives learned of the suspect’s employment earlier this week. Due to safety concerns regarding his position, the search warrant was executed at the earliest possible opportunity, and the arrest was made without incident.

During the Search, Investigators Seized Multiple Items as Evidence
Possession of depictions of a minor engaged in sexually explicit conduct in the first degree is a class B felony.
Under Washington law, a class B felony is punishable by up to 10 years in prison, a fine of up to $20,000, and/or both.
The South Kitsap School District has clarified that the suspect in custody is NOT a district employee. He is solely an employee of Innovation Learning.
Deputies say that at this time, there is NO indication that any children enrolled in the childcare program were victims.
