The Kennewick Police Department is asking for the public’s help to locate a dangerous criminal still on the streets.

Johnny Contreras-Borrego Has an Outstanding Warrant

The 36-year old male is 5’9″ and weighs about 185 pounds. Police warn that if you see Contreras-Borrego, do NOT approach. Instead, call non-dispatch at 509-628-0333, so officers can take him into custody.

The suspect’s warrant is for a 72-hour hold – misdemeanor. The original charges include:

In Washington State, Attempting to Elude a Police Vehicle is a Class C felony. Driving While License Suspended/Revoked in the 1st Degree is a gross misdemeanor.

When Combined, These Charges Could Result in Severe Penalties

Being convicted of both subjects the suspect to consecutive penalties and further extends his revoked driving status.

The penalty for attempting to Elude a Police Officer is up to 5 years in prison, a fine of up to $10,000, or BOTH. A mandatory 1-year revocation of your driver’s license is also part of the penalty.

Because the suspect is convicted of BOTH charges, he’s facing serious prison time.

If you have any information, or know the whereabouts of Johnny Contreras-Borrego, please call the Kennewick Police Department at 509-628-0333.
