In a recent study, it was found that Washington State was listed as one of the best states in America for working dads.

With Father’s Day fast approaching on June 21, 2026, financial website Wallet Hub ranked each state based on how great they are for the working father.
As it turns out, Washington State is listed as one of the best in the United States.
Wallet Hub looked at economic and social well-being rankings, work-life balance rank, child care rank, and health rank.

Washington is a Great State for Working Dads
Washington State ranked at 10th for best state for working dads based on several criteria.

Best and Worst States for Working Dads in America
First place goes to Massachusetts followed by Connecticut and the other Washington, Washington DC, making the top three.
Worst states belong to New Mexico followed by Louisiana and Nevada for the worst three states for working dads.
Though Washington is ranked 10, which is good, hopefully it’ll be higher on the list for next year. After all, it was Spokane, Washington, that came up with Father’s Day to begin with.
