Planned Parenthood extends free STI testing through the end of the year

Posted on by admin

YAKIMA, Wash.-Free sexually transmitted infection testing is available at Planned Parenthood of Greater Washington and North Idaho locations through Dec.

Planned Parenthood GWNI announced the extension of the testing initiative, which began at all 11 of its locations in Sept, on Oct. 2.

“Everyone deserves to feel safe and confident in managing their sexual health,” said Laura McDonald, Vice President of Marketing and Patient Access with Planned Parenthood. “By offering free testing, we’re helping remove barriers that often keep people from getting checked.”

According to Planned Parenthood GWNI, the goal of the free testing initiative is to make testing more accessible while promoting sexual health.

Appointments for free STI testing can be scheduled online.

“Most STIs do not present obvious symptoms, so knowing your status is a convenient, proactive way to stay healthy and keep our communities safe,” said McDonald.
