Umatilla PD investigating early morning shooting that injured 1

UMATILLA, Ore.-One man was injured in an early morning shooting in Umatilla on Sept. 26.

Umatilla Police responded to the area of Pine Tree Avenue and Blue Bird Drive around 1:25 a.m. after multiple reports of shots being fired.

A 21-year-old man believed to be the only victim is receiving medical care after the shooting, according to Umatilla PD.

The Oregon State Police are processing the area as a crime scene and the area is currently blocked off and those driving in the area are asked to use alternate routes if possible.

The investigation into the shooting is active and ongoing and Umatilla police are asking those in the area of Pine Tree Avenue, Blue Bird Drive and Pheasant Ridge Road to check their security cameras for any footage that may be helpful to the investigation.
