PASCO, Wash. — Twenty-four-year-old Breanna Gooldy was the creative soul in her family.
“She was the singer of the group, she was the singer, she seemed to know every song, she would make up songs of her own – and she – her voice was beautiful,” Gooldy’s older sister, Angela Shaharra said.
Breanna was also the baby of the family; the youngest of four sisters. Angela said she could make anyone laugh.
“We would just laugh when we were together, any time we would – just have the best time, I’ll forever remember those memories,” she said.
Memories, that she’ll forever hold onto.
Angela said the four sisters were close, especially after the deaths of their mom and dad years prior.
“We were bonded through tragedy, and we made the best of what we could with the cards that were dealt with us, she said.
On the morning of Sunday, November 6th, Angela received the heartbreaking call while at home.
“That’s a call that you never want to get, she was fighting,” Angela said.
Pasco Police said Breanna was found near 28th Avenue and Hopkins Street, unconscious with injuries consistent with an assault.
She was rushed to the hospital.
“They gave her a fighting chance, and we were able to be there with her,” Angela said they’re thankful for the professionals at Kadlec who gave them more time with their sister.
Breanna was pronounced dead later that evening.
Now, Angela and her family just want to know what happened to their baby sister and find the person responsible for her death.
“She was loved, she wasn’t just a nobody, she was my sister, she was a friend, and we need answers
I just want some answers – to get her justice. I like to think that she is at peace with mom and dad, our mom and dad so that gives me a little peace too, but not until we find answers.”
The Franklin County Coroner’s Office conducted an autopsy on Monday, the results are still pending. If you have any information on this case, please contact Pasco Police at (509) 545-3421.
