Survey: Online shoppers trust Amazon, Walmart more than most sites

TRI-CITIES, Wash.-Looking to score some Black Friday or Cyber Monday deals online this weekend? Shopping from secure, trustworthy sites online can be the biggest deal you make this Holiday season.

According to a recent survey of 1,036 shoppers aged 18 and older, from the web development firm HostingAdvice, most Americans trust Amazon and Walmart the most for security when shopping online.

HostingAdvice’s survey found that 72 percent of respondents trust Amazon, followed by Walmart with 49 percent, Target at 35 percent, Best Buy 22 percent and ebay at 21 percent.

According to HostingAdvice, the websites of several traditional stores can also offer safe online shopping experiences.
