Man who fled to Oklahoma found guilty of murder, arson in Kennewick

BENTON COUNTY, Wash.-The man who fled to Oklahoma after being suspected of murder and arson in Kennewick in 2022 has been found guilty in Benton County.

Brian Lynn Wilcox was found guilty of murder in the second degree and arson in the first degree on Nov. 8, according to a press release from Benton County Prosecutor Eric Eisinger’s Office.

Wilcox reportedly killed Kathy Wilcox, an intimate partner, before setting their house on fire. He was arrested in Del City, Oklahoma and extradited to Benton County.

According to the Prosecutor’s Office, Wilcox will remain in the Benton County Jail on a no bail hold until he is sentenced.
