2 arrested for eluding, possession after crash in Walla Walla

Posted on by admin

WALLA WALLA, Wash. – A man and a woman were arrested in Walla Walla Wednesday evening after eluding police, crashing and possessing substances according to Walla Walla Police Department Captain Eric Knudson.

Knudson says an officer with WWPD stopped a car for a traffic violation in the 200 block of White Street.

The officer reportedly made contact with the male driver and female passenger. Shortly after, the driver sped away from the officer who did not pursue.

However, around two minutes later, there was a report of a crash at the dead-end of White Street which was investigated by the same officer. The officer confirmed that the crash involved the same vehicle that sped away minutes prior.

The man was reportedly arrested on probable cause for eluding while the woman was brought to a nearby hospital after claiming she ingested fentanyl powder.

Knudson says no further information on the crash or arrests will be released this evening. The incident is still under investigation.
